In their Winter exhibition, 'I am of Ireland' brings together a unique show featuring work by leading artisans and artists from around Ireland. The featured artist for the exhibition is Elizabeth Cope, who appears in the extensively researched Dictionary of Living Irish Artists by Robert O’Byrne. In addition, there will be textiles, silver, ceramics and whiskey barrel furniture on show, to reflect some of the collection that appears online at www.iamofireland.ie.
Much of this work is more frequently seen in galleries, and therefore to view it in a private home offers a new way of seeing these beautiful objects.
'I am of Ireland' is now in its fourth year and exclusively sells work by Irish artists and designers. Much of the collection draws upon the environment for inspiration and offers a unique insight into how Irish designers are currently fusing traditional techniques with contemporary design.
Directions to the venue: N25 out of Youghal towards Ardmore. After bridge over Blackwater, take second left onto L2009. At crossroads turn right. After approximately nine houses on left, turn left down 'I am of Ireland' boreen.
