A free embroidery workshop for beginners. This is a rare opportunity to learn a traditional and unique Quaker craft that was introduced to Mountmellick in 1825. This workshop celebrates the ancient craft of Mountmellick Work, which has been kept alive by Joanna Carter and was revived in the 1970s by Sister Teresa Margaret McCarthy. 


Three sessions: August 19th, 25th and 26th.
