Profiles is back with the latest instalment in its online series of short video interviews with creative individuals and groups working in the field of design and the arts.
The most recent video introduces Designgoat, a Dublin-based industrial design studio behind some of the city’s most recognisable interiors. Founded in 2011 by NCAD graduates Ahmad Fakhry and Cian Corcoran, Designgoat is responsible for furnishing 3fe, Brother Hubbard and Indigo + Cloth. Designgoat's client list includes Thinkhouse PR, Jameson and The Science Gallery. They operate from studios in Dublin 8.
Profiles takes a cross-disciplinary approach to creativity and design, with interviewees chosen on the basis of their social or cultural impact or on the novelty and uniqueness of their work. The interviews focus on the interviewee's past experiences, their current situation and where they plan to bring their work in the future. The videos examine the interviewee’s artistic approach from a process-orientated perspective, with an interest in their sources of inspiration.
Profiles aims to be a useful interdisciplinary resource for students, recent graduates and people establishing new projects, and will help people access new ideas and sources of inspiration.
