Sligo's first Design Week, mounted as part of the ID2015 celebrations, will draw the local design community together across various events and creative happenings.
Exploring the themes of ID2015 - sense of place, sustainability and well-being - the programme includes a stellar line up speakers for a lunchtime Design Talks series at The Model arts centre, workshops exploring design areas such as lino cutting, and networking events. Also included on the programme is Fresh Talent, one of ID2015's core exhibitions, which shines a light on the new wave of Irish designers, along with a special session on creative entrepreneurship, a family day of design, a live street art and music session, and a maker's day, including a pop-up FabLab and a special screening of the film Maker.
The full programme for Sligo Design Week will be available on the festival's website soon. Follow on Twitter or on Facebook for updates.
