The Ulster Museum – Evolution Amidst Revolution

6.03.2015 –
10.00am – 5.00pm

Irish Architectural Archive

Closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday

‘The Ulster Museum: Evolution amidst Revolution’ traces the architectural evolution of the Ulster Museum over the last 100 years. Featuring rarely seen archival drawings, photographs and footage of the museum, the exhibition sheds new light on one of Belfast’s most iconic buildings. The exhibition explores the influences — both local and global — that shaped the building, and considers how the forces of modernity were absorbed, over the course of a century, into its architecture.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of lunchtime events. For more information, visit

In partnership with the Irish Architectural Archive, the Ulster Museum and British Council and supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
