Shoeniversity is the name given to the education and training wing of Equipage Shoes.  Shoeniversity bases its training on the 19th Century method of training people in Couture.  We are unique to Ireland and uniquely Irish.  Visitors from far and wide are very welcome and the area is a popular tourist destination.  Our courses held in the beautiful, inspiring setting of the East Stables at Bantry House, range from half day leisure courses to 16 week intensive technical shoe design and manufacture training.

We  also offer bespoke courses and one-to-one tuition for Fashion Industry professionals such as footwear buyer’s courses or professional design skills based training courses.  The portfolio of courses will be introduced over a phased period and develop over the first two years.  We are planning to validate/accredit some of our training and have already started this process.

The real beauty of a Shoeniversity course is that you leave with footwear that you have made yourself.
